About Counselling
Perhaps you're feeling down or anxious and this is affecting your day to day life or maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer a safe, supportive and confidential space for you to reflect on previous experiences and patterns of behaviour, no matter how difficult or unpleasant you may feel them to be.
I practice psychodynamically and consider therapy to be a process of self-discovery and growth. In our sessions together we can explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviour and experiences to try and understand how the past impacts the present in order to facilitate change, leading to a more contented and fulfilling life.
People begin counselling for a variety of reasons:
-
Feeling anxious, concerned, or worried about life and the future
-
Experiencing low mood or depression
-
During times of loss or loneliness
-
Relationships – at home or work – not going as well as you would like
-
Following redundancy, or wanting to change career
-
Identity issues
-
Feelings of frustration or anger
-
Low self-esteem
During your weekly session you will be able to speak about whatever is on your mind in a safe and secure environment. Counselling sessions are offered remotely using Zoom.
As part of the counselling process an initial consultation is necessary to ensure that I have a fuller understanding of your current difficulties and for us to ensure that we can work together therapeutically.
The initial consultation lasts up to 1 hour 15 mins and is charged at £85.
Ongoing 50 minute weekly counselling sessions are charged at £60.
